Cinco de Mayo

We had a day of little chores. Anne learned of a farmers market down the road and we headed there to see what we could buy. I picked up tomatoes, broccoli and key limes.

Back home we found the guys doing outdoor chores. I continued with my laundry and then it was time for lunch. Again I watched my soaps and Anne came over with coffee and we sat and talked for a bit.

We had made plans for happy hour, and because it's Cinco de Mayo, margaritas! Since we were having drinks we thought we'd just have finger foods for dinner. Well, one thing led to another and we ended up with a lot of goodies to eat. Shrimp Cocktail, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip, chips and pico de gallo and guacamole, olives and pepperoni. Plus the margaritas....We started around 1630 and the fun continued for a couple hours!

We talked with Pat and Vern, Jeni and Don and Dave and Karen! After the drinks were gone and we had stuffed ourselves we went for a walk. There are peacocks that entertain us nightly so we wandered over to check them out.

they also have about 6 dogs and some of the peacocks are albinos
the neighborhood has some beautiful gardens

Dead saguaro alongside an ocotillo and some kind of evergreen

I couldn't decide which sunset pictures to post so I included them all!

how about a big lizard for your dead cactus?

this dude would look good in your yard!

Our walk was the perfect way to end the day and once home we separated and went inside.
